In order to come to deep, lasting change we need to honour the social, psychological, biological and spiritual aspects of our lives.
Certified in Generative Trance Work & Ericksonian Hypnosis, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and having extensive experience in meditation, somatic practices and breathwork, I draw from all of these disciplines to best accompany your individual process. I’ll assist you to reconnect to your own inner wisdom and resources in order to overcome difficulties and open up new spaces that are more aligned with your true self and your heart’s deepest longings.

Sessions

During 60 minute sessions we’ll evaluate where you are today and what your goals are. We’ll identify what new experiences you wish to create in your life or what is most important to you to transform. The work we’ll do is solution focused and designed to facilitate ecological and lasting change.

Through simple exercises and guided experiences you’ll be able to connect to your inner creative intelligence to transform and reorganise patterns on a subconscious level. This will allow you to access new ways of functioning that are more effective and comfortable and allow you to express yourself in the world in a meaningful and authentic manner.

All sessions are tailored to your specific needs, taking into account your unique way of functioning. I’ll provide you with practices and exercises to do in between sessions in order to deepen the change and help you to become firmly rooted in your heart’s wisdom.

Currently I only offer online sessions, which can be in English, Spanish or Dutch.

Ericksonian Hypnosis & Generative Trances

Generative Trance Work & Ericksonian Hypnosis

Drop underneath your usual way of thinking to tap into the wisdom of your subconscious mind, body and soul.

Trance is an altered state of consciousness, sometimes called hypnosis. It is a natural dreamlike state during which the cognitive mind quiets down. It is a part of our everyday life, we go in and out of trance constantly, for example when we get so absorbed by a movie or a book that we forget about our surroundings. Generative trance uses these learning states purposefully to facilitate change.

We perceive and interact with the world through the filters and maps that we have constructed through our experiences since we were little and which are held in our cognitive mind. These maps are more or less fixed, which means that we keep behaving in the same way, creating more and more of the same outcomes. Inevitably, as we go through the different phases of our lives, these maps will become outdated and cease to take us where we want to go. Trance allows us to drop underneath these problem areas and tap into our innate wisdom and source of infinite creativity, the subconscious mind. This makes it possible to alter our maps and come up with new understandings and ways of functioning that were not available to us before.

Somatic Processing

Process stuck emotions and explore new territory through working intentionally and mindfully with the mind, body and nervous system.

Difficult experiences that haven’t been processed properly or suppressed emotions are stored in the body, and can have a profound effect on our (mental) health and nervous system.

Research shows that the only way we can change the way we feel is by becoming aware of our inner experience and learning how to befriend it. In fact, having a ‘Felt sense’ of the problem area is one of the best predictors for a successful session. In order to overcome emotional difficulties, we need to experience them in our bodies whilst feeling safe and contained. In other words, to meet with a human presence that which has always been kept hidden, suppressed or pushed away. Posture, gestures and slow, intentional movement combined with moment-to-moment awareness of what is going on in our bodies allows these emotions to be processed and released. The practitioner is there to create a safe space and co-regulate the nervous system of the client which allows us to safely touch our inner world without becoming overwhelmed. Through practice, we can learn how to do this ourselves and are able to conduct our own inner alchemy; transmuting difficulties into wisdom and resilience.

EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing

Process difficult memories through rhythmic eye movements that inhibit the stress response.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a process designed to alleviate distress associated with unpleasant memories. Through eye movement the activation of the physiological stress response is inhibited in order to process difficult experiences.

When something overwhelming happens it can affect the natural coping mechanisms of our body, which results in the incomplete processing of the experience. These unprocessed memories can cause negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours. The process of EMDR consists of bilateral stimulation, such as moving the eyes from side to side or tapping on the knees or shoulders, while recalling the images and sensations of these unprocessed memories. This allows the client to reprocess them and put them into a larger experience or perspective, which results in easing the discomfort caused by these memories. A session typically consists of multiple rounds of EMDR. After each round we evaluate the changes and use these to inform the following rounds, until the whole experience is processed.

NLP

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Discover and learn to work with your (subconscious) programming to come to more satisfactory ways of functioning.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a discipline that investigates the way you are functioning internally in order to come to your unique perceptions, beliefs and behaviours. Through simple exercises and guided experiences you’ll become aware of your inner programs and will be able to transform difficult situations, change your belief system or come to new ways of functioning that are more aligned with who you really are.

We perceive the world through our senses, or in other words, through our neurology. Our life experience consists of what we see, hear and feel. These experiences are stored in our neurology and through them we construct the way we understand the world. This is what we call our programming. Our programming determines how we feel and express ourselves in the external world; our emotions, behaviours, and our verbal and non-verbal communication. This is the language part of NLP. Hence the name Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
Once we know what we do in our mind in order to create an emotional state or behave in a certain way, the possibility to transform it opens up. That’s why NLP is a discipline which is effective to facilitate change, be it to transform difficult experiences, change ineffective behaviours, learn new ways of functioning or optimise ways of functioning which are already effective.
